ようやく始動
2日前に「稲こぎ開始」といいながらその日の日記の通り修理で終わっておりました。昨日は朝から雨が降ったりやんだりで結局何もできず。
今日こそは！と気合を入れて朝からコンバインの調子を試すべく向き合っておりましたが、やはりまだ完治しておらずかなり追い詰められておりました。
が、そのときようやく原因を突き止めました！そこから急ピッチで修理は進み、10時には本格的に稲こぎを始めることができました。天の助けか、お昼前に突如友人が訪ねてきてくれ、その助けも借りて作業は順調に進みました。やはり人手が増えると予定以上のペースではかどります。
その後、コンバインも大きくへそを曲げることもなく頑張ってくれておりますし、明日も引き続き助っ人アリなのでこのペースで行くと明日でウルチ米のほうはかたがつきそうです。あとは日曜日にもち米をこいで、ウルチ米のトースひきができればいよいよ玄米になります。
ここに来て少しバタバタ気味ですが、来週から天気が崩れるという予報なので何とかそれまでには、と思ってしまうわけです。
現段階では予想より少し収量は少なめの感じがしておりますが、それより何より早く新米の味見がしてみたいばかりです。楽しみだなあ･･･
