亀井派内、公然と会長批判
白組対青組
自民党亀井派に９日、激震が走った。豊富な資金力を背景に「オーナー会長」として君臨してきた亀井静香・元政調会長に対し、中堅・若手から批判・反発の声が噴出したのだ。
「首相官邸は『絶対解散する』と言ってきたのに、『解散にならない』と甘く見過ぎた。今ごろ『何とか公認をくれ』と言っても、うまくいくものか」
内閣府副大臣の西川公也・前議員は９日昼、首相官邸で記者団を前に公然と「亀井批判」を展開した。
この日午後、国会近くの亀井派事務所に、会長代行の伊吹文明・元労相や谷津義男・元農相ら２０人ほどが集まった。その席でも、「賛成派が（自民党から公認されない）反対派の応援には行けないし、反対派が賛成派の応援に行っても困るだけだ」との意見が出た。
郵政民営化関連法案の衆院本会議採決の際、亀井派は対応が真っ二つに分かれ、大きな亀裂を残した。伊吹、谷津、西川氏ら１６人が賛成し、亀井氏、平沼赳夫・前経済産業相ら１２人が反対、１人が棄権したのだ。
協議後、西川氏は記者団にまくし立てた。
「白票（賛成票）を投じた『白組』と、青票（反対票）の『青組』はなかなか交わらない。当面は『白・青分離』だ。白組の気持ちは、『派の名称に亀という字がつくのは勘弁してほしい』だ」
やはり「白組」の萩山教厳・前議員も、「選挙戦で『亀井派』と名乗って戦うのか」と聞かれ、「しません」と明言した。
さらに、「白組」の動きは加速した。
水野賢一・前議員が午後、亀井派に退会届を提出したのだ。水野氏は小泉首相の構造改革を支持しており、「亀井会長との政策上の意見の相違が決定的になった」と語った。派内には、「退会者がさらに出る」と予測する向きもいる。
亀井氏が首相を批判し続けたため、亀井派は常に「抵抗勢力」のレッテルを張られてきた。そのことへの不満が、衆院解散を機に一気に表面化した。
亀井氏はなお強気だ。
９日午前、中曽根元首相を訪ねた後、「大勲位からげきを飛ばされた」と強調した。午後には、「青組」の能勢和子・前議員を「地元（広島）は、新党の大合唱なんだよ」と励ました。
しかし、亀井派の行方は波乱含みだ。「白組」には、「この際、派閥を飛び出し、伊吹グループを結成しようか」との声もくすぶる。
ある自民党幹部は、こう解説する。
「亀ちゃんの火遊びが火事になっちゃったな」
